MY FATHER

The memory of my father is wrapped up in
white paper, like sandwiches taken for a day at work.

Just as a magician takes towers and rabbits
out of his hat, he drew love from his small body,

and the rivers of his hands
overflowed with good deeds.

MKE 9 to 5 Organization

Thank you to the Milwaukee 9 to 5 Organization for hosting your fundraiser this past Friday Night at Gallery 218. In my opinion, I think your level of professionalism, ideals/values, and enthusiasm are incredibly focused and honored, i.e., by not only me, but I would expect by the majority of women working within Wisconsin.

. LA MUJER

I was

Supposed to tamp down these
Words

Hold a few men
And ideas
Hostage

What I did
Was become

Benumbed

Dumb
Struck in your reckoning

Holding my ear
To your ground

This swelling birdbath of light
The waiting room inside loosens its love

I figured what you had
Was not mine

.PAMELA ANDERSON

What I like about artist Pamela Anderson's work is that she has chosen to paint shapes that are impactful and questioning. Anderson's study comes across as bold and timeless in it's execution. I love it.

a much better construct to think of.
