THE MUCH ANTICIPATED GENERAL PATRAEU$ REPORT

Jesus On Ice
Fox News reports the US military surge against Taliban insurgents in Iraq has been successful. US coalition forces have stabilized and secured anti-American interests in the region and have once again reconnected Baghdad's electricity and snow cone making capabilities. Pentagon sources confirmed that Disney's recent production, Jesus on Ice, has opened on schedule to record crowds in downtown Baghdad. New balastic metrics support the recent deployment of amored Zamboni's have made the difference in securing smooth ice for the 201st Skating Company. Additional shipments of Zamboni's are scheduled to arrive in Baghdad in early October. Talks are also under way with OPEC and the IOC for Baghdad's bid for the 2408 Winter Olympics.

SQUIRREL
.

This past summer I saw a squirrel with a dislocated hip. Incredible. The poor thing must have been in so much pain and yet I could not tell that it felt the slightest discomfort. I will never forget that.

8 COUNT
from my bed
I watch
3 birds
on a telephone
wire.
one flies
off.
then another.
one is left,

then
it too
is gone.
my typewriter is
tombstone
still.
and I am
reduced to bird
watching.
just thought I'd
let you
know,
fucker.

PLATES AND WIRES
TIM CATLIN AND JON MUELLER
CROUTON NO 37

Australian guitarist Tim Catlin and American percussionist Jon Mueller's approach to their instruments is based on their shared interest in the vibration of material and the changes in sound that result in modifying those vibrations. Over a year in the making, "Plates and Wires" features a series of different situations involving guitars, gongs, snare drums, and bass drum, and their resonant effect upon one another. The recording of "Plates and Wires" was mastered by James Plotkin (Khanate/Phantomsmasher/Khlyst).
"The drones set forward by the two is almost violent in approach. Mean, up there, present, this is not the sort of drone music that lulls the listener into a state of sleep, but keeps him awake. A pretty strong release of highly captivating drone music." - Frans de Waard, Vital Weekly - Netherlands

PASEO DE LA REFORMA
Farmers, teachers, and other activists unite in number for better wages and working conditions along Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City. At dusk they carry torches; the smoke carries. Their voices echo. Lovely.
