Fall Landscapes

Directions:
The Lynden Sculpture Garden may be reached via I-43, exit Brown Deer Road. Head west on Brown Deer Road (Hwy 100) for approximately 0.8 miles. The sculpture garden is located on the left (south) side of Brown Deer Road. The grounds are surrounded by a weathered tall wooden fence.

Winter hours (November 3 – March 13)
Wednesdays: 10 am – 4 pm*
Sundays: 12 pm – 5 pm

Enter through the west gate. This is the entrance closest to the barn and immediately opposite the westbound left turn lane on Brown Deer Road. There is a small sign hanging from a lamppost at this entrance that says "LYNDEN. Harry L. Bradley."

Note: The subject matter within these photographs are not part of the Harry L. Bradley Collection. Unfortunately. Special thanks to Judith Moriarty, ThirdCoast Digest, Polly Morris, and the Bradley Foundation.

Credit is due to the creative landscapers who raked and scraped the algae layer from the drainage pond into piles of sticky white slime balls (above photo). Walking among them felt as if I were stepping into another world. Very cool.

SOFFA

Dianne Soffa
Lime Green
2010 Oil
49" x 49"

What I like most about this piece by Dianne is she chose a concept repeated many times over by modern artists--some have been successful, others not. Yet, what makes her work unique is that she chose to fold her own paint handling into the same color studies that came before. It's a luminous piece to say the least, and because of its scale, it's best viewed in person.
